In a delicious galaxy…not so far away

6 03 2010

Hey guys,

Sorry for dissappearing on you. I ended up going out two days in a row and coming home with only enough energy to crawl into my bed. You know how it goes.

I slept in this morning because being a working girl justifies my laziness :) But I can’t complain, especially since I got my first paycheck this week:

I still find it hard to believe that someone pays me to write. And I love it.

When I finally got out of bed this morning, I had a bowl of super creamy, vanilla almond oats:

In the bowl:

This granola is awesome. It contains no oil, corn syrup, processed sugar or artificial ingredients. It has 70% less fat than other granolas, which is incredible. The best part: it’s just as flavorful and crunchy as other granolas I’ve tried.

The secret? It’s baked with fruit, not fat.

This week, Galaxy launched it’s Fruit Not Fat blog, where you can share tips about using fruit as substitute for fat and learn more about the movement.

And guess what? I’m even a VIP Blogger. Cha chingggg. Who else is on the list? Well,

No, I’m kidding. They wish.  This is a baller club, but it’s non-smoking. Sorry, Snoop. Jay-Z, if you bring Beyonce, we can talk about it.

Check out Fruit Not Fat and share your knowledge!

I’ll be back later with some more rambling and food for you. Be sure to check back on Monday for an epic giveaway!

If you could make anything fat-free, what would it be?

I’d say pie crust. Pie crust is probably my favorite part of a pie.

Yay for the first paycheck! Very exciting :)

Fat free stuff kinda scares me. I just like normal things! Imagine fat free peanut butter? It would probably just be bad.

If I could make anything fat free, it would be either chocolate or ice cream.

I’ve been reading rave reviews of this granola all over the blogosphere, and I’m anxious to try some! I still haven’t tried a granola that I’m 100% satisfied with.

It makes me deliriously happy that you fit a Star Wars and Jay Z reference into a single post. Two of my favorite things!

A good paycheck definitely make going to work every day worth it. At least you enjoy what you are doing, there are a lot of people who don’t.

That granola sounds awesome!!

Ahh a paycheck–that sure would be nice to see. But seriously, I’m really excited that you are getting to do what you love, and GET PAID! :)

I’m not too worried about fat content of things, unless it’s the unhealthy type…soo hmm I guess I’m with ya on the pie crust.

Yay for paychecks! Makes the long hours all worth it :D

I am intrigued by this granola. I usually eat Bear Naked fruit and nut, but currently making my way through TJ’s pumpkin granola. It’s delicious, but the lower fat/calorie content is definitely noticeable.

Fat free pie crust would be amazing. Fat free cheese would also be good- and I don’t mean the fat free stuff that’s available. I mean cheese that you can’t tell it’s fat free. Also pastry. And scones.
