Hey y’all.
What is that? When do I ever say y’all? It just came out. I’m rollin’ with it.
Today was nice and warm, and the sunlight illuminated my desk all day like the heavens were opening up or something. I enjoyed it.
For breakfast, I had the usual: banana, sliced almonds & PB oats, with a nearly fatal dose of caffeine on the side.

My editor took me and another reporter out to lunch today, since we had such a shitty day on Friday. We went to Variety Cafe, a place that I can only describe as “we got everything you want and things you didn’t even know you wanted.” I had a gigantic salad with goodness of all kinds. Since it was free, it was much more delicious
Found out that my editor loves Kombucha and doesn’t really eat any meat. I like him better already.
I also brought these snacks with me to work. I had the apple around the 3 p.m. slump and the bar right before I was leaving work, since gym was next on the agenda.

My mom signed up for the gym recently, so now my dad, brother, mom and I all go together on some nights. It’s really cool and I’m glad my family’s workin’ on that fitness. Every time my mom gets discouraged, I remind her that she needs to have the energy to run after her grandchildren some day, so she better step it up
Dinner was quick, easy and delicious, a powerful combination! An oven baked sweet potato with Smart Balance Light and steamed broccoli topped with nutritional yeast.

It’s late, I should be in bed already!
Who in your family is workin’ on the fitness?

your dinner looks so amazing! My mom, dad and I all bike and ski together
i adore everything bout this…u…the food..the fitness. my mom is going to yoga 2-3 times a week n LOVES it.
Haha, you need to come down South, if you’re spontaneously uttering “y’all.”
It’s just my dad, my sister and me who are workin’ on the fitness these days.
Wow- Such simple, yet DELICIOUS eats!
Haha
Have a great week, girl!
Brazilian XOXO´s,
Gabriela
that is so cute yall all work out together! it makes me miss my fam!! my family is really active too
I think you know who in my family is workin out…. [For those of you who don't, my father goes to the same gym as Olga. He's ALWAYS there.]
Also, I saw a commercial today for Smart Balance Sour Cream. You should let the gma know.
My grandma wouldnt eat that if you paid her. Did I tell you that my mom now only buys HIGH FAT AMISH Sour Cream? That’s the life.
Also, I am extremely sadden that I still haven’t see your dad at the gym. I saw my middle school science teacher, my pharmacist, a hair stylist from a salon I go to, but no Father Goose!
That’s so cool
I just got an invite from some sort of health web thing, and so I’m assuming my mom is on a weight loss kick again
My family is freakish in that we’ve always been pretty active. Except for my sister, but she’s still in college so I cut her some slack! My parents are excellent role models in the exercise realm
I think that it is awesome that you and your family are working out together! No one I know has started working out yet except for Christina, and she is my inspiration. I did a super mini work out today
but I don’t have any energy today
Your boss sounds awesome, bad Friday = free lunch on Monday <3 sounds like a good job to me!!!!
Have a good Tuesday******
Aw you have such a great family! My Dad and I work out regularly together in our house and we’re trying to get my Mom into it. She’s been walking the treadmill on the weekends at least!
my mum started going to the gym about 3 years ago, but not really on a regualr basis, my dad goes for a run once a week (1 hour though). we recently decided to run together at least twice a week, because i want to join the Sydney Bridge Run on september 2010, so he trains me
aw family gym night sounds wonderful. I don’t think I could get my mom to go to the gym if I paid her.
I think my Texan accent is rubbing off on you! Go with it!
ah, so great your family does fitness together!!! my family usually does walks with the dogs or in one of the local parks…nothing other than that though. i sometimes run with my brothers.
My Aunt has always been the fitness queen in our family. I recently asked her what she’s doing these days to stay in shape and she replied, “Oh, I’m not as active as I used to be. I only hike, lift weights, and do yoga.” That’s her sedentary side. Yeesh.
I love the idea of adding nutritional yeast to broccoli! Thanks for sharing.
So cool that you guys work out together! My little brother (I say “little” but he’s at least a foot taller than me!) is really into fitness and green living…cycles everywhere, makes his own soy milk, sprouts his own seeds, goes running, etc. My mom has recently started walking to and from the train station each day (about 2 miles each way)- I’m really proud of her because with her commute and work, it’s already a 12 hour day. Go mom!
GO MOM!
My mom’s community is like two hours as well…so I command her for coming home, cooking dinner AND going to the gym! Our moms rock
