With time

23 02 2010

Dear blogosphere,

This is all I have to say for myself:

That’s my lunch sandwich (hummus, honey mustard, chicken, spinach, cucumber slices), baby carrots, a chocolate Chobani (still debating how I feel about it) and an apple I brought for a snack but didn’t end up eating.

My lunch at 7 a.m., under the artificial light of my kitchen.

I’m still employed (it’s fun) and learning that no matter what time of the day it is, there will be tourists by the Charging Bull. And that wearing heels causes me to only make eye contact with super tall men on the train (I’m like 6 feet tall with those damn things on).

And that I don’t know how people blog regularly with a 9-5 job.

And that I like parentheses (a lot, apparently).

I’m in love with parantheses. Never overdone, never.
And I’m impressed by your stature. I wear heels and I’m still a shorty.

I agree with the above poster(s)… gotta love tall men! I’m 5’9″ and in heels I’m around 6 ft. So any guy I date has to be over 6 ft. That’s my rule! Still, I don’t blame you for not wanting to make eye contact with the guys on the subway. Most give me the creeps! lol

Ah yes, grasshopper, you are learning your lessons well. The 9-5 + blogging one-two punch is a bitch, no? Don’t sweat it though, soon enough the dust will settle and you’ll find your balance. Promise!

I really like parentheses a lot too [but only the square ones].
lol

All I’m gonna say is that maybe it’s not too bad to only make eye contact with super tall men. I’m just sayin’ ;)

Ah man, I hope you get some rest! I am in awe of 9-5ers who blog too.
PS I’m a little jealous of your chocolate Chobani…

I use too many parathaseis as well :) haha, and the 9- 5 bloggers are def equipped with insane amounts of time… It’s so hard for me to keep up with blogging when I work, and have regular life issues going on all the time, I don’t get to blog until 1am… and then write on others blogs before work.. ( If I can)
Have fun at work today! hope your feeling better :)

You are preaching to the choir! The last thing I want to do after a day at work is stare at the computer screen. I give mad props to bloggers who blog every day and have a 9-5.

I am a 9-5er and I try and blog at night.. From the day.. or in the morning from the day before! It is tough to figure out a routine but you will get it.. perhaps lunch?

Good idea! I miss reading blogs too and hoped that I can do that on my lunch break, but Google Reader & gmail are blocked at work! GAH

9-5 bloggers definitely deserve extra credit! It sounds hard. Just blog whenever you can!

I’m a 9-5er and just blog when I can. I try not to stress about it and just enjoy the blog for what it is. Hang in there!!!

be happy you’re a 9-5-er! I didn’t think that existed anymore. Our workday is 8-5 and it sucks :)

and chocolate chobani? Yum!

I hope today is a good day!!!

I like parentheses too, as evidenced by their frequent appearance on my blog!

I’m sure figuring out a routine is hard, but once you’ve been working for awhile, it’ll probably feel like clock work.

Yipes. Routines will form as time goes on so don’t worry. 7pm lunches won’t be regular. ;)
