On a dreary, rainy day there’s nothing more comforting than a warm bowl of soup (okay, unless you’re eating it while wearing flannel pajamas with no pending “to do” list).

I was recently contacted by a representative from Campbell’s offering me a sample of Campbell’s V8 Garden Vegetable Blend Soup.
As a college student, I’m a sucker for convenience when it comes to meals. No artificial preservatives or artificial flavors? I’m in.

The soup is thick and creamy with big chunks of vegetables. For a soup straight from the grocery store shelf, it’s pretty good. I didn’t find it salty, although like most other packaged soups, the sodium levels are up there.
The nutritional stats don’t hurt either:
But you don’t have to take my word for it. You can try it for yourself! Campbell’s is offering one lucky reader a prize package, soup included:

The package includes:
- Campbell’s V8 Garden Vegetable Blend soup
- A Campbell’s V8 Soup Health Journal
- A vegetable shaped pen to keep track of your servings
- A Flip and Tumble shopping bag to stock up on vegetables
- A Pedometer – to count your steps
You have two chances to win:
If you’re a blogger:
- Leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite soup (1 entry)
- Link back to the giveaway on your blog and leave me another comment telling me that you did so (1 entry)
If you’re a reader:
- Leave me a comment on this post telling me your favorite soup (1 entry)
- Leave me a separate comment telling me what you’d like to see more of on Healthing It (1 entry)
I’ll randomly choose a winner this Friday. Good luck!

Mmmm! Love soup. It’s so hard to say which one is my favorite! Currently it’s probably Pumpkin Soup!
If it’s called soup, I will probably love it.
Borscht, kharcho, black bean, and butternut squash soups top my list!
Omg, I want that pen! So cute. My favorite soup is sweet potato
love the some minestrone!!!! or corn and potato chowder….or spicy pumpkin.
Ahhh, I LOVE soup (except most cold soups). My friends in college used to say that I was “obsessed” with soup, which is not true, but it is delicious!
My favorite kind is probably a good, creamy and spicy tomato-basil!
I love V8′s Squash soup!
i love kabocha soup or lentil!
Your blog is great already but maybe you could do some product reviews of things you’ve tried or for restaurants you go to.
Thank you so much for the opportunity! My favorite soup is Campbell’s V8 Southwestern Corn soup!!! It’s the best.
I make a great vegan butternut squash-apple soup! But really…anything hearty goes down easily. Vegetable barley, black bean, red bean, anything!!
I love curry squash soup!

So now of more of what I wanna see on this blog…. Well:
1. Obviously Gracie. She’s so feisty.
2. Hummus. Who doesn’t love hummus? I’ve actually been trying different flavors and different brands. We should start a hummus club. Like a book club, but only hummus related things. We can try different things to top it with and then we can discuss amongst ourselves.
3. Bread. Now let’s not fight the carbs here. I’m really interested in different types of grainy bread with nuts involved. I’ve been trying to find some local places. Any suggestions?
4. Boom.
I think my favorite soup of all time is Italian Wedding Soup. I love the little meat balls and the noodles and the soup isn’t too thick. But then I really like Gumbo sometimes… But is Gumbo considered a soup? Things to think about… Then again, whenever I go to Boston, I always have to have Clam Chowdah. And I also like Matzah Ball soup that is homemade. The mom always makes it whenever the cousins come over for that special Jewish holiday. I LOVE BOILED CARROTS. I actually boil carrots in general and eat them. That is all…for now.
I love my mom’s borscht. There’s always a large amount of beef in there and a ton of flavor, as you can tell its not the all-veggie variety.
Hey Olga, Love your blog. My favorite soup is my mom’s homemade turkey soup, especially when I’m sick, like right now. She also makes a really good french onion soup. It’s hard to decide.
I would like to hear more stories about your family and what being immigrants in Brooklyn is like. I am also originally from Russia, living in the US. I have enjoyed reading your blog for a few months now. Keep up the good work
My favorite soup is French Onion but I like a lot of others!
Oh and I’d like to see more desserts in this blog, more HOME-MADE desserts… like say… CARROT CAKE!
lol
My favorite soup is the FREE kind… but seriously on a cold day I love Clamb Chowder or Creamy Mushroom.
