I’m glad so many of you enjoyed my Friday night recap. I guess a hangover elicits my poetic voice
I was recently visited by the VitaTops fairy. She came bearing many tantalizing gifts:

I totally dug into the chocolate fig flavor after dinner last night. Those are legit fig chunks:

I usually frown upon “diet desserts.” I like to have my cake and eat it, too (what’s the point of it if I can’t eat it?) But I have to say, I am a fan of VitaTops. Maybe because 30 seconds in the microwave turns this creation into a warm and satisfying chocolate treat that doesn’t only taste great but also delivers 6 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein. I recommend.
I also recommend increasing your intake of peanut butter, so you can use the jar as a pumpkin oatmeal dish.

Leave no peanut butter behind:

And engaging in your favorite form of exercise, especially after sending out a nerve-wrecking piece of mail, isn’t too bad of an idea either.

And last but not least, the pain of studying for an exam can be alleviated with a berry smoothie.

What one recommendation would you give someone who is seeking a healthier lifestyle?
Loaded question, right? I’d start with oats. And lots of walks.

ohh you got the epic vita pack?! amazing, right?? do you prefer the tops or the muffins? I have to say — I am all about the brownies. Those baybays are bomb.
Mmm I just got that vitatop sampler too. After trying tons of flavors my favorite is still the triple chocolate one. They’re so good!
I just posted some thoughts on ‘diet’ foods! Ah. Bloggie ESP.
My top tip: eat more fruit and veg
Whoa, loaded question inDEED. I would recommend not comparing oneself to anyone else! Easier said than done in the blog world, that’s fo sho.
I ran out of my Vitatops quite a while back but I enjoy fond memories of K style parfaits with crumbled vitas, yogurt, nut butter, chocolate chips…NOM.
Good luck with whatever necessitated that resume!
Embrace fruits and veggies more because they will love you back!
Ugh, I hate writing resumes! *fingerscrossed* for you girl!
i still haven’t tried vitamuffins, but the flavors sound good.
Water, water, water.
that is a loaded question! i’d say more walks too, at least to start.
i totally agree on diet desserts – i’d rather have the real stuff on occasion. i did try vitatops once and didn’t love them, but i might be willing to give them another try. chocolate fig is an intriguing combination!
How come the vita fairy never comes to visit me?!
Ooh, a resume! My fingers are crossed!
A healthier lifestyle? I like the above comment to stop eating out, though I would never do it. Instead, I try to limit how often I do it.
I would say stop eating out, cold turkey!!
Mmmm, I can’t wait to have my first pumpkin oats of the season!!!!! And agreed. Everyone needs more pb in their life! I’ve never tried the arrowhead mills kind, but maybe i’ll get on that soon!
Glad you enjoyed the vita top! I’d tell people to stop fearing the healthy fats, get some nice post-dinner walks in with their fam and cut out the “diet” foods (besides those delish vita tops-i agree, after 30 seconds in the microwave….they taste like fresh CAKE) !!
I would say don’t be afraid of hunger! Even if it seems that you ate recently and you don’t need it–honor your hunger and your body will be grateful!
I love vita-muffins! They were my go to quick and healthy breakfast freshman year of college. Unfortunately I haven’t had one in awhile though.
I’d pass along my mantra: eat by color!
My recommendation = don’t deprive yourself of anything because it will just fire back, moderation is key, adequate exercise and just moving your body for a bit everyday makes you feel better and happier.
Love the oats in a jar!!!
If the people at Vitatops are listening, PLEASE SEND ME A BOX OF YOUR GOODIES! I will give your products glowing reviews because I already like them!
To answer your question: I would recommend that people switch to a vegetarian diet!
Finding exercise that is enjoyable and doesn’t feel like WORD. And adding a salad into their diets- couple times a week! They make me feel amazing.
Gluck on the resume send-age!!
so jealous about the vitatops! still havent tried them!!
loveeeeeee to you miss Olga!
My recommendation = only do what’s right for his or her own needs.
