When I went to bed last night, I had a schedule in mind for today: waking up early for a run, laundry, cooking, homework…but I was rudely awakened at 5 a.m. by loud noises and meows.
Some bratty princess was hungry and demanded food. Her name’s Gracie and she’s our newly adopted cat:
She’s really fitting for our household, since she loves to lounge around and eat a lot. But don’t let her cute face fool you. She’s got some serious cattitude. We all have battle wounds:
We adopted her from a household with two big dogs, who harassed her all the time. We’re hoping that she realizes we’re not dogs soon and stops being vicious. She is super cute, so it’s hard to stay mad.
I did get to my errands, just a few hours later than I originally anticipated. For my pre-run fuel, I had a Van’s Organic Blueberry waffle (on sale for $1.69!) with PB.
For breakfast, I had a serving of Country Choice Organic Multigrain Hot Cereal with flax and mixed in a couple of TBS of ff pineapple cottage cheese. I bought it by accident but it’s pretty delicious. I also added 1/2 a banana and cinn.
Then there was homework and laundry. For lunch, I made red leaf lettuce wraps with the leftover filling from my taco salad the other night. I topped them with nutritional yeast.
And to keep the doctor away:
The sticker on the apple said it’s a product of New Zealand. Say what?! I need to buy these locally!
My roommates and I all had an eggplant each, so we pooled our resources and made eggplant parm. We baked it and used this recipe, which was excellent! Martha Stewart knows her shiz.
Paired with whole wheat spaghetti & salad. I totally had seconds of the eggplant & veggies.
I have to study for a quiz, although I’m very tempted to just stare at Crazie Gracie all night long…before she attacks me.
Are you a cat or a dog person?
I absolutely love dogs. First thing I’m doing when I buy my own house? Getting a dog. The bigger, the better. I think cats are alright but this one’s growing on me.
Ooh SHE IS SO CUTE! I’m 1000% cat person. I love them and am completely obsessed. I love dogs too, definitely, but I would never want to own one. I just like to play with them for awhile and give them back to their owners!

totally a dog person…cats are to nit picky. haha. and they scratch, like that! arg!
I have two cats, so that may put me in the “cat person” category… but if I had the time and space to dedicate to having dogs, I would welcome them into my household in a heartbeat. I think it’s a 50/50 split for me. I just simply love all animals and enjoy having them around.

I’m definitely a dog person (bigger the better
) but couldn’t have a big one in my building (which has a 30 lb. limit — random, huh? I guess Arthur gets kicked out if he gains weight . . .). I’d love to have a dog and a cat, though 
I’m sort of both. I love cats and think they are so cute and love their behaviors. What I don’t love is finding litter box space, and hairball vomit. :/ Dogs are a little more work than cats but worth it. And I’m a big dog person too.
Little yappy things don’t do it for me.

I always had dogs growing up (my mom is allergic to cats), but now we just have a cat. I love them both!
I’m both a cat and dog person…depending on the cat/dog! At least your cat knows how to defend herself–my cat is pretty vicious around dogs, but as she’s an outdoor cat in the country I am fairly confident she can protect herself against a fox!

I am SO a dog person, but then again, I’ve never had cats, so I could be both a dog and cat person and just not know it:)

i am such a cat person and that cat is so cute! i want one so badly. i also recently tried nutritional yeast, it’s innnnnteresting, not quite as cheese-like as i’d hoped but probably more nutritious.

Aww Gracie is so cute! I’ve always been more of a cat person, even though I had both a cat and a dog growing up. My bf is allergic to cats tho so I think I’ll prolly only have a dog once I move into my own house
Yeah, I normally don’t love cats but some just really grow on me and I can’t help but love them! Growing up my sister was allergic to cats s owe could never had one and I think that’s part of the reason I grew up to be a dog person. (And we have a husky, a german shepherd and my father-in-law’s 150 lb akita, ha).
