Because this afternoon, I handed in my last final exam and portfolio as a college junior.
Here is a 10-second visual representation of how I currently feel:
Okay, okay, so minus the whole guns thing, but even though I don’t have THUG LIFE tattooted across my belly (or should I hold that thought until I wake up after a night of heavy drinking?), I am looking forward to straight up chillin‘.
This semester kicked my ass but I guess that’s what I get for deciding to do my senior project and take a couple 400-level honors classes at the same time…But the good news is, I made it!
I had breakfast on the sunny porch with Gladice this morning to celebrate the end to my desk+chair academic captivity.

1/2 cup oats, 1 cup water, 1 small banana, 2 TBS ff cottage cheese, cinnamon, PB & zucchini bread crumbles.
Then I printed all my work out and had lunch before heading to campus to hand it in. Tortilla pizza!

Newman's Own pasta sauce, grilled chicken pieces, tomato slices, spinach & reduced fat mozz cheese on a La Tortilla Factory whole wheat wrap.
I also had an apple for lunch dessert:

But my final papers weren’t the only thing that went to campus with me. I thought that today would be perfect to try running outside. So I finally put my Forerunner to good use!

Can we talk about how flushed my skin is?
Also, I didn’t run the whole time but a good portion of it. I LOVED IT! And can’t wait to do it again! I also absolutely love having this HRM with me because I can pace myself and see my distance. It’s amazing! I’ve been missing a whole world of running out there!
But the greatness of this day doesn’t stop there either. I also got an email about an exciting development at Celebrate Brooklyn this summer, where I’ll be working…

“The ‘Celebrate Brooklyn Bike Zone’ will be the largest bike parking initiative at a cultural (non-bike) event in NYC. Bike to the Bandshell and safely park your bicycle at the ‘Celebrate Brooklyn Bike Zone’ located at 11th Street and Prospect Park West. We are partnering with Transportation Alternatives to provide Bike Valet and Self Park & Lock areas to accommodate approximately 400 bikes.”
You can ever plan out your route to the venue here. I am beyond excited!
I’m off to find a cupcake
