After I posted yesterday, weird shiznit continued to happen… Like this magical creature randomly showing up on our porch:

We don’t really mess with magical creatures, so we named her Gladice and let her stay. Our neighbor’s cat was more than interested, if ya know what I mean

This morning, I was up bright and early for a trip & breakfast with my prof. It’s that time of the year:

Check out my prof in action:

Isn't she a bunch of German goodness?
We bought some amazing cheese from this farm stand. Yes, Sarah, those are samples!

I’ve never had this before but I liked it a lot!

We pretty much had a feast for breakfast thanks to the Farmer’s Market.
Fresh flax-sunflower seed bread:

Organic & local low fat yogurt with strawberries:

And the camembert cheese hiding in this adorable dish:

Mmmmmmmm
Since it is beautiful out today, we had breakfast on the prof’s porch. Our view:

There was also jam & coffee:

For our main course (yes, I realize it’s breakfast
), we had fresh local eggs with organic cheddar cheese & scallions. These dishes are handpainted and from the 1930s.

My prof is definitely a foodie
She has so much cool stuff at her house too! Maybe I’ll get her to do a guest post someday…hmmm..
Well now I’m full and ready to take on this paper. I have a blog worthy event going on tonight so check back for an update tomorrow.
Hope your Saturday’s going well!
