Guess what the zipper of my dress decided to do today? Split all the way down the side. Luckily, I had a cardigan I could wear on top to cover it up and the crisis was averted. Nine West is getting a call from my lawyer. And they better not tell me to drink less beer. I want a new zipper installed.
I want to thank you for all your helpful tips on sleeping issues. Here are some strategies you use to catch your Zzzzzzzsss:
- Read something, preferably boring
- Cut out or reduce caffeine intake
- Listen to a soothing song on repeat
- Try to think about absolutely nothing
- Count numbers until you’re bored
- Watch something uninteresting on TV
- Get up and write what’s on your mind
- Play solitaire on your iPod!
- Count backwards
- Leave obnoxious comments on people’s blogs
- Do yoga and try to relax
- Drink a glass of warm milk
Last night, I read a textbook, which seemed to cure my insomnia in no time! Thanks again ladies!
Onto the day’s foods:
Before the fashion fiasco, I had pizza for breakfast.

No, I am not renaming this breakfast cookie pizza because I don’t want you to think that I eat boring, repetitive meals. It has toppings, see?
I ordered it with strawberry cream cheese sauce, unsweetened coconut and cantaloupe pieces. This pizza is only available in Amherst, by the way.

The dough: 1/2 cup oats, flax, Hemp Protein powder, 2 TBS ff cottage cheese, splash of soy milk, chopped date, 1/2 a small banana, cinnamon
I went to my internship, and even though most of the staff was out of the office, I had plenty of work waiting for me.

I got it done, no worries.
For lunch, I packed yet another wonderful sandwich on Arnold’s Real Jewish Rye bread. This time it consisted of bbq chicken deli slices, goat cheese, cucumbers and spinach.

There may or may not be a bottle of So-Co in the background. It may or may not have been consumed last weekend. I plead the 5th.
I also enjoyed a huge apple before my three hour Organizing seminar while sitting outside.

During a break in my class, I reached into my bag and hit the snack jackpot. I found a pack of Animal Crackers I got on the plane back from my Vegas trip.
It was like Christmas morning for my mouth.

I was too lazy to put much effort into dinner, so I kept it simple with the soup from the ultimate creepster:

Organic Chicken with White & Wild Rice

I thought this soup sucked, big time. It was SO plain, tasteless and boring. I only ate it because if I buy something at Whole Foods, I can’t bring myself to discard it, it’s too expensive! Luckily, I had a side salad and some Triscuits to compensate:

spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, broc
After the disappointing soup, I had dessert to cheer up my taste buds. Cantaloupe!

I also think I may be addicted to spring.

What’s your favorite season?
I think all of them have their merits but I feel my best in the summer time. Aside from the absence of school stress, I also get to spend a lot of time with people that I love back at home and I bike a ton! I can hardly wait

Summer is by far my favorite season!
Sorry about the wardrobe malfunction thank goodness you had the cardigan!
Ew! That soup sounds 100% lame! Lo siento mami!
I love your breakfast cookie. It’s like a pimped out version!
You know, I don’t have a fave season. I’m always ready for the next season to come around though, nameen?
Hands down spring is the best (except for the allergies!). I adore fall but I have SO many commitments during football season. Spring is fabulous because I am able to just sit around and enjoy it!
Happiness Awaits
I meant I love your breakfast!
U love your breakfast pizza!!!
My favorite season is fall. And I totally remember everyone skipping classes in nice weather, except of course, for me.
Autumn is my favorite. I love fall food! It’s pumpkin oats season
sorry about your dress! the clip on my pants broke today and they very nearly fell down…not a good look on the first day or work, lol!
My favourite season is summer! Something about sunshine and hot weather just makes me so happy
Spring and fall because they are cool and beautiful.
Winter is damn cold and summer is damn hot! :p
Mmm I had some animal crax today too (chocolate AND vanilla!)–I’d forgotten how delish they are.
Glad a wardrobe mishap was averted! I’m going to be super-paranoid about my dresses now.
summer is my favvvvvvvvvv!
and love the “leave obnoxious comments”. where’s mine?! hahaha!
That happened to me but in the back of my dress!!! Plus, I had nothing to cover it up and I was at school =/ Luckily I managed to get the zipper to stay up until I got home.
SUMMER is my favorite season. One of the MANY reasons being that my birthday is in the summer =)
sounds like a fun and busy day.
I love spring because everything gets some color again, but fall is my absolute favorite. I love the leaves changing, the cool air, and the fact that I can still wear flip flops
I definitely have to go with summer because of the sunshine. I get to wear all my cute clothes and dresses. Which means treating myself to pedicures. The weather allows for more outdoor activities, ice cream, and reading outdoors. Ohhh I can’t wait!
