I can actually get a lot done!
Today I submitted a scholarship application, mailed out a resume for an internship, logged 3.25 miles on the treadmill and forced a class of freshmen to come up with visual representations of the three types of social power they read about, using nothing but old newspapers and tape. Really! Observe:

My personal favorite, this group got very creative...It would take a whole blog post to explain what the hell this represented
They didn’t have scissors...I don’t know how they cut those tiny men out. The class I taught went so well! They asked me to come back
But let’s backtrack to breakfast, which I ate before my run for fuel.

Multigrain Light English Muffin, toasted, with PB, 1/2 a banana & cinn + cantaloupe
Then I ran, showered and ran around like a maniac trying to get ready. I quickly packed lunch to go:

BBQ Chicken deli meat with spinach, cucumber slices & zesty honey mustard on Arnold's sandwich thin, about 2 TBS of Sabra's Red Roasted Pepper hummus (love) with a carrot and fruit leathaaaa
And for my snack, I packed the rest of the chocolate pumpkin loaf I baked yesterday:

Yum….Hahaha just kidding! I packed that as snacks for the class I taught today
They devoured it! Nothing like a little chocolate to wake up that creativity.
Will the real snack please stand up?

A huge apple and a pear in desperate need of consumption
Dinner was one of those other creations guided by hunger; I open my fridge and see all these things I want to eat and combine them together in some fashion. Tonight’s result:

Mixed frozen veggies + zucchini, onion, spinach, red cabbage + crumbled veggie burger + pasta sauce+ reduced fat Cheddar cheese+ spices. SO FILLING and DELICIOUS! (I need to expand my vocab, don't I?)
But still room for dessert! A piece of the chocolate pumpkin loaf with some plain Greek yogurt.

What, you really thought I gave it all away to the freshmen?
Thanks for all your congrats on the first 5K! Have you been to my personal fund raising page yet? ‘Cause you should check it out
Every penny would be appreciated!
I’m going to milk this unfathomed productivity wave and go write a paper and read for my craziesss Tuesday tomorrow.
What’s your busiest day of the week? Why?
P.S. Check out Sarah’s nutty and grainy giveaway!

I always feel like Sunday’s & Monday’s are sooo busy for me, I seem to ALWAYS have hours of homework or majorrr tests to study for!!! yuck!
And that pumpkin loaf is killin’ me, looks so good!
Yeah for your class going well!!! Is teaching in your future?
I don’t any particular day that is crazier busy really. They are all equally rushed!
they didn’t have scissors?? i am beyond impressed!
the chocolate pumpkin loaf looks delicious!
my busiest days are mon-wed, then the rest of the rest is smooth sailing
have a great day!
I’m glad your class went well!! Loving the newspaper cutouts– so creative! And that chocolate pumpkin loaf looks hella fab. Good luck on your 5k, i’m so jealous of your motivation!
What a creative group you have there!
My busiest day is always Thursday. I leave work early for a class, so everything is rushed, then after class I need to run… just an exhausting day.
Of course your class loved you–you brought food!
My busiest day of the week is HANDS down Friday. Always. Which makes it a bit stressful planning and getting excited for the weekend. It also means that I rarely wake up and say Thank god it’s friday. Instead I dread the crap that will inevitably appear.
And way to go with the 5K. I need to signup for something like that some time soon…but I will not allow myself to even think about adding stress to my life until I defend the thesis and work calms down. otherwise the hubbie may kill me.

I’m glad the class went well!
Busiest day at work is usually Monday, but my busiest day lately has been Tuesdays since we go from work -> group and are away from the house from 7:30 am until around 9 pm
Hehe I like your blogging style. That class sounds so awesome! Visual reps are soooo useful in learning stuff. Gotta love it!
Ah, you are a model of productivity. Keep on truckin’, Olga! You’re a rockstar!
WOW! Congrats on getting so much done in one day! And how sweet of you to bring baked goods to your class… awww
Hooray for your productivity!! : )
Ah the busiest day has to Tuesday I am mostly working 14 hours nonstop on this day!
The chocolate pumpkin loaf looks awesome!
My busiest day depends on the homework given, usually a Monday or Thursday =/
None of my days are too busy because I’m a senior and I made it that way
But Mondays suck because I do have a class that runs from 4-6:45.
you got so much done … and it sounds like you taught an AWESOME class. what a creative assignment!!
and i totally did not bat an eyelash when i thought ALL of that loaf was for you
thanks for the shout-out!
