I just realized that all my eats today were vegan. It wasn’t intentional per se, but I think it’s correctly pointing to my latest pondering about food philosophies: I’m starting to develop issues with the idea of meat consumption, at least anything beyond chicken (for the love of God, please don’t tell my Ukrainian mother). Where does it come from? What do these animals eat? I have less problems with dairy but that’s changing too. Hmm…
Anyway, I woke up and jumped on the treadmill, all eager to run and have a hardcore sweat session when my treadmill was like “Whoa, who are you kidding? Don’t rush into things, we haven’t seen each other in a while.” Yeah, it talks to me.
Breakfast was heavenly: a toasted La Tortilla Factory wrap filled with 1/2 a nanner & Pam Anderson PB. Now, all of you upset with this, remember: don’t hate the playas, hate the game. I also had fresh blueberries, figs & a kiwi.
Class was great and I was ravenous when I got home for dinner. I quickly threw together a stir-fry: a bell pepper, some frozen veggies from a mix, tofu and Success Boil-in-Bag Brown Rice(a college student’s best friend), tossed with a stir fry sauce.

haha, i thought the pear was part of the monkey at first and was SO confused …
i think monkey is cute, though — def not creepy.
Glad you listened to the treadmill. I on the other hand did not. I cranked that bad boy up and said to hell with my quads. I could barely get out of bed this morning. Because of my rushing of the treadmill, I am going to have to skip doing cardio today. Smart of you to listen!!

I agree with Andrea, my love for seafood and cheese would definitely prevent me from becoming a full time vegan.
I can’t go vegan because I like seafood, eggs, and cheese too much. But I’ve been not eating as much meat lately. One thing I will never be able to give up is sausages and kielbasa. I think they would take away my Polish license!
Love the monkey!
Hah – I love the treadmill talk. I feel like my legs do that to me.
And yes, the monkey is slightly creep. Maybe a sharpie to re-draw in the eyes wouldn’t hurt…
Fresh figs?! Fancy – I love it!
I just tried one of those pumpkin bars for the first time the other day – I liked it alot – but I know EXACTLY what you mean about the top being oddly “gooey”!
Looove your breakfast!!
Cute monkey!!
I need the weekend how too – hang in there!!
I’m having that same issue with meat eatin’ myself. I spent an hour last night researching the pros and cons of vegetarianism. I still don’t want to eat meat. I’d like that hour back, please.
I’m with you on those Kashi bars. I didn’t really dig them and each time I gave one to the girls I was just cringing. What a gummy sticky mess, so not worth it (that’s what she said!!!).
Like you said, hate the game, not the playa.
I have days like that too, where I subconsciously eat entirely vegan meals. It makes me realize that veganism wouldn’t be so difficult. I like my yogurt though, so I think I’ll stick with my lacto-vegetarian diet for now.
Those Kashi bars look so good–bummer that they’re only OK.
Yes, that monkey does creep me out.
I feel the same way about that Kashi Pumpkin Pie bar. I’m always self-conscious eating it around people because the gooey filling clings to my teeth and I look like a weirdo.
The treadmill talked to me today too! It said, “Slow down, bitch!” Bah!
